As a result of being caught in avalanche while backcountry skiing and subsequently awaiting rescue for 48 hours in a tent with traumatic compound fracture, I had my leg amputated in Jan 13, 2005. Since becoming an amputee I have gone on to fulfill athletic dreams I had once thought impossible with two legs.I have had the honor of representing the United States at multiple World Championships, Para Pan-American Games, and ultimately the 2012 London Paralympic Games. As a member of the United States Team Sprint, I won a Bronze medal at the 2012 London Games. I have dedicated my like to exploring my full potential in everything I do. I am committed to helping others do the same in all aspects of there life be it in their place of work, personal life, and social commitments to the world surrounding them. I am a firm believer that we all have capacity to contribute to the world in unique ways that will leave the world in a better place.Life is best lived with out limitations.
