As a member of the research team, I primarily focused on the production of recombinant proteins. My responsibilities ranged from the various upstream processes such as DNA isolation and plasmid purification, to the transfection operations of HEK293 mammalian cell cultures at bench-scale, to downstream processing and the subsequent purification required to harvest the recombinant proteins products of our cell culture.
