Kavin Velur Ganesan Email and Phone Number
I am currently pursuing an MS in Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics at the University at Buffalo, where I have the privilege of conducting my graduate thesis research in Dr. Nastiuk’s lab at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. My research aims to investigate the role of an oncogene in promoting tumor growth and immune evasion, aiming to improve the efficacy of immuno-oncology treatments. My expertise spans from drug trials in transgenic and syngeneic mouse models to advanced imaging and cell analysis techniques, among others from previous experiences. In addition to my wet lab capabilities, I also intern at UB’s Genomics and Bioinformatics Core Facility, analyzing diverse sets of complex omics data. My extensive experience in both wet and dry lab settings, which demonstrates my proactive involvement in both fundamental and cutting-edge scientific techniques, equips me with a diverse range of skills. I am keen on applying these industry relevant skills to foster innovation and contribute to the development of transformative biomedical solutions.
