Roles & Responsibilities • Successfully transitioned the Project from Verizon US to Verizon Data Services India and working in Onshore and Offshore fashion.• Monitoring batch using CA-7 Mainframe batch tool.• Monitoring, fixing, and escalating Mainframe batch jobs and related issues.• Taking action for Late jobs to maintain SLA’s.• Demanding batch jobs, rerunning batch jobs and provide solutions for the batch failure.• Monitoring the batch jobs in Skeleton queue and informing the analyst in case of any irregularity found.• Analyzing the late jobs and ensure the stream of jobs ends fine.• Updating the customers regarding abended jobs and correcting (restart, rerun, force complete, demand, requeue, cancel etc) it.• Taking care of all requests from Application team through SSR tool.• Perform automated IPL’s through SPOC and Manual IPL’s through Supervision Consoles and HMC. and perform minimal system IPL’s during major upgrades.• Participating in bridge calls for high severity issues and engaging Engineering and application teams when required.• Working with SPOC – Single Point of Control (Focal Point).• Alerts of 82 LPARS are monitored using 9 focal points.• Starting and stopping of Transactions and programs through IMS panel in SPOC, ABDUMP a BMP, Rolling MPR’s, starting links between the IMS regions, Bouncing IMS regions.• Displaying threads and killing threads in SPOC. Manual DB2 commands are issued in OPSMVS and through Supervision consoles. Bounce DB2 in SPOC, Performing WLM refresh.• Bouncing CICS regions and working with transactions.• Activate/ Deactivate LPARS during IPL’s, Perform loading new load parms.
