The content of this course included the data analytics lifecycle, advanced analytics such as regression, association rules, clustering & classification, time-series and text analysis, as well as hands-on application using open source platforms such as R Studio, Hadoop, and MADlib. During the final deliverable of this course I worked on a project with Kavitha to develop a predictive model to increase the return on marketing investment (ROMI) for a mid-sized bank. The model aimed to better target clients with the highest likelihood of subscription to a term deposit and when. The result of this project provided the bank with a high degree of accuracy for future marketing campaigns, and was estimated to increase ROMI by 15%. Kavitha’s performance was a critical factor in the project’s success. Her deep understanding of applied mathematics, statistical techniques, and the R programming language made her an invaluable asset to the team. Kavitha has strong leadership abilities, as well as solid project management experience that allowed us to stay on track in regards to scope, and schedule. Her knowledge, curiosity, and drive not only overcame technical obstacles that stood in our way, but also boosted moral within the team. I strongly recommend Kavitha because I know that she will excel and overcome any task that is given to her.
