Transport Planner
Current-Effectively presented complex concepts and decision items to the leadership team through reports and presentations.-Played a supporting role to the transport manager for the development of the borough's transport schemes. This can be majorly divided into three parts.-Advising on best practice standards for walking and cycling infrastructure and providing insights during design reviews with consultants. Compiled formal responses for infrastructure projects within as well as for neighbouring boroughs ensuring its alignment and effects on the royal borough. -Developed and implemented detailed programs for public stakeholder consultations, ensuring business needs/issues. Created an engaging environment for the public to understand the scheme. All feedback was compiled and integrated into active travel schemes.-Along with this, independently managed a project, for last-mile connectivity for South Ascot and Sunninghill and hence learned project management skills. -Introduced new skills to enhance team efficiency and facilitate informed decision-making using analytical tools like Excel, GIS, and Power BI. Demonstrated enthusiasm in electric vehicle uptake, understanding usage patterns, and developing dashboards for insightful analysis and decision-making for implementation of EV charge points.Initiated the learning process to provide transport advice on travel plans as part of the overall skill development. -Along with my role as a transport planner for active travel, I assisted in activities related to public transport. I delivered administrative support for public transport, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in handling, and drafting formal responses. Implemented a categorized tracking methodology to streamline and log inquiries, facilitating efficient, timely and informed decisions for regular responses.-Collaborated with colleagues in neighbouring boroughs,suppliers, public transport operators, residents, and authorities to address bus-related inquiries.
