Hi! I'm Kavya (she/her(s)/ella), and I'm a freshman at UC San Diego pursuing a double major in Ethnic Studies and Critical Gender Studies. In my education, I am particularly interested in exploring decolonial and community-centered understandings of identity, trauma, resilience, and wellness.Through my work in local and statewide social justice advocacy, I have gained significant experience in mutual aid organizing, media strategy and engagement, policy development, affirmative group facilitation, and community building. In the future, I hope to take my passion for cultural transformation and organizing into the space of academia, where I can continue to actively support radical, decolonial learning.I am thrilled to collaborate with my peers, mentors, and fellow community members as we reimagine liberatory educational frameworks and work to dismantle systems of oppression. I'm always searching for opportunities to support community-driven social justice movement building, and I look forward to connecting with folks :)
