I help people develop new skills in order to be productive in the work place and to achieve career success. Having worked for Verizon and predecessor companies in technical management roles for many years, I witnessed the evolution of technology to the digital services of the 21st century. As a program manager, I led teams that tested advanced technology and services in an integration laboratory, and planned, engineered and implemented the local network. In an industry in constant motion with mergers, downsizings and reorganizations, I created cohesive teams and guided team performance to meet expectations. Focus on constant communication, continuous training and coaching contributed to organization success. With this experience in mind, I transitioned my career; first serving as a career mentor to college students and then to Nassau Community College ‘s (NCC) Center for Workforce Development (CWD). CWD offers workforce training that can be tailored to specific client needs. We also offer open enrollment non-credit career programs for entry level skill development and work with clients to identify appropriate credit and degree-bearing programs that would meet business and employee needs. My focus is generally on implementation of new non-credit open enrollment and overseeing credit courses for clients.
