We create accessible and equitable mobility through consulting, training and research.AEM Institute provides goal-oriented services to support you in the implementation of fair and environmentally friendly mobility. We are the first address for gender and accessibility consulting in this field and have made it our mission to pass on our knowledge about all facets of mobility in courses - be it in-house training or interactive e-courses. Through our experience in teaching and research, we also promote the design of fair mobility in research projects. Therefore, our expertise is not only at the cutting edge of research, but actively contributes to shaping it.

The so-called "Mobilitätswende" (transformation of mobility) as a social issue is intended to prevent and reduce traffic-induced emissions, both locally and globally. A society is just as diverse as the mobility and transport of the individuals in it. In order to shape the shift towards sustainable mobility technically and politically, a fundamental understanding of the mobility needs and behaviour of different groups of people is necessary. How do gender, age and health, for example, affect mobility in urban and rural areas? The foundation for such considerations is formed by scientific concepts such as mobility as distinct from transport, society and social structures, as well as concrete mobility and transport concepts. It is essential to know the social effects of the individual's choice of transport and to look at the causes of mobility behaviour, such as the choice of transport mode or the formation of trip chains, from different perspectives. These topics will be dealt with in the seminar using the example of the new mobility trends in urban areas, which bring enormous challenges to some groups of people.
