- Monitor the conditions of animals during and after surgery- Perform medical tests and laboratory analyses (e.g., urinalysis, blood counts, etc.)- Observe animals’ clinical behavior- Take diagnostic images (e.g., x-rays)- Maintaining pharmaceutical inventory- Managing veterinary office, including scheduling appointments, bookkeeping, and maintaining files- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and managing time effectively: Answering phones, assisting coworkers, working with multiple patients and doctors, filling prescriptions, tending to clients question/concerns- Great communication and people skills verbal and written- Able to prioritize and work independently and in a team environment- Customer Service: Answering phones promptly, personable with clients’ needs/concerns, showing care to patients- Organized: Making sure patients’ records are kept together (doctors’ notes, lab work, faxed records, prescriptions)- Data Entry (Cornerstone medical software and Idexx Blood Chemistry Analyzer)

Working with cats, dogs, and some birds. Feeding, watering, walking, cleaning, bathing, medicating, and restraining for nail trims etc.
