I was a PTA parent in a school district of 1,200 kiddos. We finally had found money to purchase 237 shiny new desktops and monitors. Boxes arrive and as I am unloading, I am looking at the 200 old units and CRTs we were changing out. Why do these devices need to go to auction? What about the hard drives? We have to pay and we do all the work? See the need, fill the need my “Robot Movie” loving daughter would say and IT Recycling Group was formed, changing the way obsolete and end of life electronics in schools were processed and we wrote the first RFP introducing accountability, tracking, revenue generation and certified recycling vs auction. I have a team I call family and enjoy going to work each day. I am proud of the hard work our team has given these last 11 years and supporting over 200 school districts has been an honor.- I am driven to make a difference, regardless how small.- Trust is not given, it is earned and I work hard for those words to ring true.- I speak tech and exec and even a little redneck when the family comes together.- The buck always stops with me.- I educate, refine, and drive myself (and my team) to be a better person.- I am a problem solver, regardless how big or small.My daughters are now successful members of our beautiful world. Without the support and guidance of all the members of our little ISD, it would not have been possible. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives.
