(2) years afterwards, I was promoted to a Purchasing Officer role sourcing non-stock commodity requirements, managing inventory of allocated commodities, identifying cost savings, preparing bids and negotiating with suppliers. Prepare, award and manage long term agreements with approved suppliers for inventory and vendor held stock items. Liaise with field personnel and suppliers to resolve material and equipment issues. Supervision of admin staff. Participated in and was part of the team for the Y2K Project identifying and auditing external suppliers critical to our business and the QAL Picnic Committee. Show less
