I trained as a director for theatre, screen and radio and work as a freelance theatre-maker and creative producer in the arts and culture sector and its intersection with climate-nature action. In 2018 I stepped into environmental movement building, campaign directing, and activism - nationally and internationally. My work facilitates connection, creative expression and new ways of being for the collective good. I'm new to LinkedIn! I'm a co-founder and director of Letters to the Earth, an award-winning participatory creative campaign that invites people to connect with nature, speak up for a planet in crisis and make change for a liveable future. I've represented the campaign in the Blue Zone's Resilience Hub at COP27, facilitated workshops and nature-based experiences for diverse communities including members of the International Platform for Climate Finance and made media campaigns of notables reading their Letters such as with the late Dame Vivienne Westwood. I curated and co-edited the award-winning book 'Letters to the Earth, Writing to a Planet in Crisis' published by HarperCollins and introduced by Emma Thompson. It features the voices of children, great grandparents, teachers, scientists, politicians, indigenous leaders, business leaders and artists such as Yoko Ono. I am now leading the stage adaptation of Letters to the Earth.I'm a co-founder of Culture Declares Emergency, an international movement of artists and cultural organisations declaring climate and ecological emergency, with whom I've curated, produced and facilitated assemblies, immersive festivals and literary events at venues including the Southbank Centre, Central St Martins, Roundhouse London and the Charleston Festival. I consult cultural organisations on their pathways of Declaration.Most recently I directed a UK tour of 'Phoenix, Dodo, Butterfly' by British dramatist Steve Waters, 3 scenarios of the future in response to Rupert Read's 'This Civilisation is Finished'. Each show included facilitated audience discussion and expert responders in the fields of regenerative agriculture and climate adaptation. Additional credits include directing 'A Play for the Living in a Time of Extinction' (Headlong, Theatre Royal Plymouth) and 'Sequel', a one-women show I wrote and performed that explores our relationship to food systems collapse, death and the wild (Bristol Old Vic Ferment). I have trained in facilitating nature connection and cultural repair with Jon Young's 8 Shields and the Animas Valley Institute. I'm a trained facilitator of Joanna Macy's 'Work That Reconnects'.
