• Appointed on a temporary contract to work within the Traffic Section of the Roads Division, facilitating the implementation of the new Disabled Persons Parking (Scotland) Act 2009 within the department
• Responsible for devising standard letters and forms, processing data and writing reports to council committees and the Scottish government, as well as for liaising with councillors and the public on new signs and road.
• Heading up the tender process of a disabled dropped kerb contract, including site visits, measurements, Bill of Quantities calculation, contract and works documentation and site inspections/supervision
• Working closely with developers in the issuing of Road Construction Consents, providing them with direction and advice on Council standards, along with road bond calculations and end of year maintenance checks
• Responding to public queries and concerns in a professional and diplomatic matter, ensuring all problems are resolved and followed up
• Successfully leading a number of smaller schemes, including remote footpaths and footways, such as Carnoustie House Grounds and Kirkton Road, Monikie, including pricing, tender drawings and documentation, contractor.
