I'm a writer, editor and proofreader of many years' standing, with a special interest in the fields of medicine and healthcare, although I also have extensive experience in a variety of genres and have acquired skills that bring clarity and engagement to topics in a number of fields.I am an Executive Committee member of the Southern African Freelancers' Association (Safrea), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).Originally from the UK, I've embraced the vibrant culture and diverse landscapes of South Africa, where I've made my home for many years. This unique blend of backgrounds has enriched my perspective and influenced my work.Beyond the professional sphere, I'm passionate about animals, and spent a number of years as a volunteer with a large animal welfare organisation. When I'm not immersed in the written word or communing with nature, I love listening to opera music.
