I started my career with Citigroup in 1998 on the Helpdesk working for a global general ledger system, this was a great way to understand the functionality and processing and help to find solutions for the end-users. This is when I realised how rewarding it was to help others. The following 7 years provided me with many different experiences, overnight support, working as a developer using VMS, SQR and Sybase SQL, UAT testing and Production Support all within the regulatory finance area. I then moved internally to work on a data warehouse system where I was part of the Ab Initio development/UAT implementation project where we migrated the CEEMEA countries to use the Ab Initio modules. Within the team, we also supported the regulatory submission tool FiRE and I was the delivery manager for the country migrations from local to a centralised server. This provided me with skills in vendor, technology and business coordination. I have worked on multiple projects over the years and I have always enjoyed liaising with teams to find a solution. In the last 5 years, my role changed to IT Business Analyst where I have worked on regulatory projects with both finance and risk systems on S166, CRR2 and BCBS239. I provided e2e as-is and to-be scenarios documented and presented to senior stakeholders and team members. Based on the map gap analysis of data I provided details to internal auditors. Scheduling calls and managing small to medium projects. Liaising between both Technology and Business teams, I have been fortunate to work with many different people globally. Most recently, I completed a 2 year course to become a qualified MMTCP Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (Part-time study from Sept 2020 – Feb 2023) I find Mindfulness to be a very useful tool within the working environment and everyday life.
