Over four semesters, I contributed to the MIT Prison Education Initiative (PEI) as an undergraduate research and teaching assistant under the mentorship of Professor Jane Abbot. In this role, I developed online resources for students across MIT, Wellesley, and Harvard, as well as incarcerated students enrolled in the program.I worked with facilities in Massachusetts and Maine to facilitate virtual classroom meetings and improve communication between instructors and students. To support the program’s sustainability and impact, I conducted research to evaluate the course's outcomes and broaden its reach. This was used to write grant proposals and enhance classroom functionality.

Chosen as part of a competitive cohort for Wellesley College’s Lumpkin Non-Profit Internships Program, I interned at MassVOTE to support voter engagement efforts. My responsibilities included organizing and participating in phone banking and door-knocking campaigns to connect with underrepresented voters and increase civic participation.As a capstone project, I piloted a study on jail-based voting reform, combining quantitative data analysis with narrative storytelling and visual displays to raise awareness and inspire action.Through the Lumpkin Fellowship, I gained hands-on experience with a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to social change while participating in weekly cohort meetings to explore leadership and career pathways in human services and community engagement.
