MAC Contractors is my husband’s business, owned and operated in partnership with one other. As a business owner and spouse I assist and provide support with operations and major business decisions.

As a Sylvan franchisee, I work closely with other appointed Sylvan owners and our executive corporate team on a monthly basis to help analyze, create, and bring research-based marketing to our whole community. Our goal to is effectively provide brand recognition, uphold Sylvan Learning’s educational integrity through marketing, and reach as many students we can for our individual centers.

As Executive Director I manage the day-to-day operations of our centers, oversee management and teacher hiring and training, and uphold our quality standards in education and customer service. I also work intimately with local marketing, fiscal responsibilities, and expansion/partnership opportunities.

Chaired the committee for Excellence in Education where we honored 80 area students and educators for their achievements in education annually. For 11 months each year we planned this annual event for approximately 500 people from the venue, the honorees, sponsors, guest speakers, marketing, and maintaining a budget. I helped lead the committee on all decisions and presented at the annual event.

As a secretary for the Twin Cities Marketing Co-op I participated as an owner, and recorded marketing meeting information amongst our owners' group and our media agency, Conroy media. Met with the agency and television, print, and radio representatives to create, manage, and execute local marketing plans within our market on a quarterly basis for two years.
