•Teach various concepts of the 9th grade earth science curriculum which includes topics such as: Earth systems, astronomy, meteorology, the fluid Earth, the solid Earth, and environmental science•Taught various concepts of science curriculum with a focus in Earth Science such as: the dynamic Earth, layers of the Earth, plate tectonics, geological features, the fluid Earth, severe weather, hydrogeology, solar system, star development and the structure of our universe. •Floating position required flexibility with allotted time for travel and daily set up for lessons•Lesson plans that included daily learning objectives, academic standards, formative and summative assessments as well as modification and sequence of instruction were prepared every week and turned in on Monday

•Taught various concepts of the science and social studies curriculum which included topics such as: matter, physical and chemical changes of matter, the periodic table and elements, energy, rocks and minerals, cells and heredity, geography, history of WWI and WWII•Collaborated with an intervention specialist to make accommodations and modifications to lessons and activities to better reach special education students in the science classroom•Corresponded with parents about students’ progress and behavior continually throughout the year via the use of Progress Book, phone calls, emails, and parent conferences
