I am a creative and passionate individual who cares deeply about human connection and natural sciences. I hope to be able to share my love for the environment in a way that is easily understandable and relatable with everyone I meet. My career goal is to become a park naturalist or other science/conservation educator. I am most interested in forming authentic connections with other people and exchanging ideas that both of us are passionate about! I currently work at a local Italian restaurant where I am able to finesse my customer service and communication skills. Over my past nine months of employment I have become well-versed in effective communication with a wide variety of people. Through my work at Atlas Pizza I have learned how important it is to be mindful of how people are interacting with you and respond appropriately -- although it may be considered "good customer service" to converse with every customer, sometimes it is more important to recognize people's need for concise and kind interactions. I have further developed my emotional intellect and capacity for effective communication. In addition to my work at Atlas Pizza, I attend Tidewater Community College and am pursing an Associate's degree in science. I plan to transfer to a four-year university after earning my degree. I am a hard worker who is motivated by my deep care for people and the environment. This manifests in my work as the desire to perform as well as I can in all areas of my life. I am a big-picture thinker and love to manage projects with many components that I carefully weave together to for a cohesive, high-quality whole. I am interested in connecting with anyone who is also passionate about people, the environment, and creative thinking!
