Scientifically driven, dynamic, and passionate about the current environmental challenges in the water sector, I am actively engaged in promoting decentralized, resource-orientated wastewater management in Switzerland. With two great teams, I have recently founded two associations whose goal's are to implement innovative and decentralized wastewater treatment plants (aneco) and promote a paradigm shift to a circular sanitation economy in Switzrerland (VaLoo). I am currently studying for my PhD at the University of Geneva, focusing my thesis on the functioning of a specific decentralized wastewater treatment technology: the Vermifilter. My research includes looking at various qualitative aspects, such as micropollutants, microplastics, pathogens and virus, as well as social aspects such as the governance of decentralized systems and the perceived risk/acceptance from the users. Besides my PhD, I continue to work for aneco and I am engaged as a Board member for VaLoo.
