I was lonely, being the only marketing/communication professional at my small nonprofit. I sought community with other nonprofits and other marketing professionals, but I longed for a group of people who knew what it was like to develop a marketing strategy on a shoe-string budget, who worked grants and events as well as social media, and who did it all for an organization they really loved and respected. That group didn't exist anywhere, so I started it myself. We're a group of about a dozen marketing and communication professionals who work for small, local nonprofits.We support each other by offering advice, feedback, encouragement, and camaraderie.
