I recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology & Criminal Justice. I plan on continuing my education to get my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health or Forensic Social Work and focus on helping kids and young adults explore their mental health. I have an intense passion for my field and helping others, and always have. This position would provide me with an incredible opportunity to experience what it is like to do hands-on work in my desired field. I have always been interested in working with kids of all ages, particularly working with them on their mental health and providing them with tips and tricks on balancing school and home life, which can take an immense toll on them mentally. I have always been passionate about helping children, particularly because I believe mental health is an area of well-being that often gets overlooked but is extremely important for all ages.I have numerous hobbies, including reading, crocheting, taking care of plants, and painting. These hobbies help me manage my own mental health and allow me to take a step back from the craziness that is the real world. Doing these hobbies let me sit with myself and my mind, allowing me to relax, reflect, and refresh.
