Welcome! My name is Kayla Broughton. My professional experience bridges two large industries; Technology and Broadcasting. Allow me to summarize my career :)Currently, I'm leading the Helpdesk team at Grammarly! I support the team in all user requests, onboarding/offboarding. I am the main point of contact for asset management, and office buildouts, in North America. I started at Grammarly as an IT Support Engineer for the North America offices. I supported the entire team in an all Mac environment, systems, network, and A/V troubleshooting. Previously, I was a Senior Field Support Engineer at Oracle. I supported the company with Mac & PC troubleshooting and technical support on the Global IT team. There, I project managed the buildout and opening of a new tech bar on campus to support the Brand design team. I built my foundation in IT support at Apple Inc. as a Mac Genius, a position I held for five and a half years. I became an expert in troubleshooting and repairing all things macOS/iOS, including hardware repair.Through Apple, I was able to join the Beats 1 Radio team for a period. There I put my schooling to use and was a proficient Assistant Producer for the New York team. In conjunction with my current role, I currently freelance production and content creation for Radio/podcast formatting.I got my undergrad at SFSU, where I studied Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. I produced and created content for my own Radio programming and served as the station's Music Manager. I learned the power and importance of diversity, collaboration, and efficiency.
