As an historian with HRA, I conducted research primarily to support ongoing litigation. Our research topics regularly include legislative histories, environmental history, tribal history, and corporate histories. Additionally, research historians provide support for public history projects by developing interpretive materials, including narrative reports and digital content. Researchers regularly conduct work in National Archives repositories, local museums and historical societies, and via online databases.

My responsibilities included developing and maintaining the content for montanawomenshistory.org, a website dedicated to celebrating and advancing the study of Montana women in history.

Led discussion sections for students taking introductory, general education classes in history. Facilitated analysis of primary source documents and encouraged development of critical reading skills. Provided grades and constructive feedback for approximately fifty students per semester.
