For a few months while I searched for something more permanent and full time, I worked at a local restaurant in downtown Bangor, Maine that served California style foods. At this restaurant I prepared food orders for customers as they came in as well as stocked and prepared the food (ie chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc) and maintained the restaurant, making sure things were fully stocked and clean.

My responsibilities included: Giving every customer immediate and undivided attention. Follow through on all Customer questions and requests. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service. I helped assisting supervisors in controlling customer flow and backed up lines; help to reduce waiting time for customers as well as took care of returns at the front desk. I followed proper procedures for customer check out, handling of tenders, use of tares, sales of alcoholic beverages, and use of PLUs and UPCs as well as all cash handling procedures. Followed and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices. I supported global, regional, and store programs such as the whole planet foundation by collecting donations at the register. Another responsibility I had was answering department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
