Global Sensors and Equipment department:My current role is a mixture between engineering manager and technical project lead.- Managing and developing 3 experienced mechanical engineers + experience recruiting, interviewing and hiring full-time and interns- Leading cross-functional project teams to develop new product offerings from concept to launch- Research, design and testing for new product development and continuous improvement of existing products- Owner of our department's overall project review lifecycle process and documentation strategy (conforming to ISO 9001 certification)- Navigating regulatory considerations, including UL, CE, food safety (NSF), plumbing codes (UPC), etc.- Develop and manage specifications for components and systems- 1 granted patentSoftware Tools Used: - SAP - specifications management - eQMS - process/policy management system - SolidWorks - part design and system analysis - FEA Simulation - Flow Simulation - Teams/Sharepoint - File management within project and management teams - Minitab - utilizing DOE's to help with part design and optimization - Mathcad - organized calculations related to parts and systems - OneNote - for personal and team project organization, sharing and cohesiveness - Other Microsoft Office products - Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.Heavy volunteering and community outreach including: FIRST Robotics, Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, Dress for Success - Twin Cities, BRIDGING, Science Fusion (Science Museum of MN), and our internal Bring Your Child to Work Day events
