In this position I wear many hats and am responsible for a wide range of deliverables and services. I liaise closely with the many divisions of my company, as well as external vendors, printers, and agencies. During my three years in this position, I developed several procedures to streamline workflow and eliminate time-wasting processes. One such example was when I created guidelines and templates to standardize our proposal writing strategy in order to more effectively and consistently deliver a top quality product. Recently I was put in charge of all P1 logo merchandise. This includes researching and purchasing items, budgeting for and negotiating favorable pricing, and managing the inventory. I am also the lead marketer in charge of event planning at P1. In this role I work with each department from the initial stages of aiding in estimating a budget, to post show analysis where we measure leads against the cost of the event to determine successfulness. I manage the entire project from coordinating travel, to working with the many vendors associated with each step of a trade show, to organizing and gathering the supplies for the booth and show. A few of my current duties include:• Research and write content to update the company website and social media platforms • Assist with proposal writing and compilation• Develop and edit sales materials• Market company products and services to customers• Write and edit press releases• Organize promotional events• Order marketing materials• Handle multiple and simultaneous marketing projects from start to finish and maintain a gold standard product• Produce approved content for placement in newsletters, websites, webinars and conference calls• Place ads with publications and media outlets

During my time as an accounting intern, I gained an in-depth knowledge of how a project is budgeted and executed from a financial standpoint. I learned the importance of gauging a project based on metrics that measure profitability. Duties for this role included:• Performed accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including inputting data, reconciling checks, filing, and working on the phone rotation• Created budgets and forecasts to assist the management team• Maintained vendor and customer accounts to ensure all information was accurate and up to date• Ensured compliance with accounting deadlines• Input parts and service orders, and sent them to customers• Responsible for training of two new employees in the QuickBooks accounting software system

As a resident intern, I was the first line of defence for emergency situations as well as a liaison between students and staff. A few major incidents I handled were a broken finger during a soccer match and a broken leg from a tree climbing expedition gone wrong.
