Provide leadership, management, design, and execution of a philanthropy program for the College of Fine Arts. Identify new donors, cultivate existing donors, and solicit donors for academic purposes. Worked in partnership with the Director of Annual Giving to develop, plan, and implement a robust direct and electronic mail program soliciting alumnae, parents, friends, and students.Developed and implemented the department's overall messaging strategies, ensuring effective integration across all annual giving channels.

Organized and administered the academic, social, and residential components of Intensive Freshman Seminars, a two-week program at Indiana University that allows four hundred students to enroll in an intensive, interdisciplinary three-credit course taught by IU faculty. Planned, researched, and orchestrated activities and programs in direct support of curriculum delivery for IFS students. Coordinated emerging and pilot programs with the Office of International Services, FYE, and Residential Program Services aimed at connecting domestic and international students inside and outside the classroom. Interviewed, hired, and trained student staff to assist and support IFS efforts during the program and provide continuous support to staff members throughout the program. Conducted research and evaluations regarding the success of offered courses, available activities, and success of staff to continue to build and grow IFS each year.

Provided direct academic advising to a variety of new students, including freshman, transfer, domestic, and international. Helped to prepare new students for a successful transition to Indiana University Bloomington by teaching students goal-setting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Assisted students as they explored their academic, career, and extracurricular options at IU and helped them to develop a broad educational plan. Instructed students on how to monitor their academic progress. Served as a resource on degree requirements, campus and unit policies and procedures, co-curricular opportunities, and campus resources.

Writer and content specialist on the Office of Admissions Marketing and Communication Team with the responsibility of developing content for emails, print publications, and website content. Conceptualized ideas for marketing to prospective college students.Conducted research on trends in college applications and enrollment.Wrote and edited copy for print materials, emails, website, and social media, and ensured content was applicable to target audiences. Developed presentations for prospective students.Meet with students and families to provide information about the university.Conducted weekly presentations and interviews. Represented IU at on- and off-campus recruitment events.

Developed and implemented syllabi and lesson plans for both sixteen week and eight week courses studying creative writing and composition. Educated students on implications of literary representations of communities, how to be a responsible reader and writer. Instructed students on writing and revision processes, craft of essay composition, and required critical thinking and textual analysis of cultural texts such as film, photography, and television. Emphasized writing as a process, each essay undergoing multiple stages of revision.

Mentored and tutored twenty truant middle school students in Louisville, Kentucky. Met with students one-on-one to offer aid in reading comprehension, overall classroom performance, and attendance. Position included service outside the classroom at organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and St. Vincent de Paul Women’s Shelter. Helped plan events and recruit volunteers.
