I am responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a student housing community ultimately working to achieve the highest budgeted occupancy. As a Community Manager, I manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management. As an onsite leader, I supervise all aspects of the property and staff to ensure compliance with Asset Campus company’s policies and procedures, safety and fair housing guidelines and liability concerns.

In this role, I was responsible for overseeing the leasing staff to ensure all marketing and leasing techniques put in place were effective in obtaining a high closing ratio. I performed weekly audits to ensure all leasing files/data were accurate and up to date. I implemented all marketing efforts including, but not limited to, outreach, resident retention events, and other campaigns to generate traffic to the property. I maintained thorough product knowledge of the property and competitors in the market with weekly market surveys. I enjoyed assisting the Community Manager with consistent techniques and strategies to coach and develop on-site staff, as well as select appropriate candidates to fill open positions and train them effectively.

In a fast-paced, competitive leasing environment I was able to remain level headed and accomplish my individual goals as well as team goals. I exemplified excellent customer care in putting their needs above when appropriate. I also collaborated directly with the Leasing Manager to bring forth fresh and unique ideas for marketing outreach and resident retention events.
