Hi my name is Kayla Parisi and I sophomore at The University of Alabama, which is located in the heart of Tuscaloosa. My major is Creative Media with a minor in Management and am ready to start looking for amazing opportunities with unforgettable people and to always be learning new things about the world and how to become better at my job! Over the years, I have worked with a variety of different kinds of companies, ranging from; being a student worker through my county government, working in a cookie bakery helping around the kitchen and helping customers, at a trampoline park as a party host for years working my hardest to make sure children never forget about the best birthday party they have ever been to, being a cashier and floor worker for a sports store that was going out of business where I kept customers happy with my service and making the store organized and clean, learning experiences with animals by working as a counselor at a horseback riding summer camp that taught kids the responsibilities of having and riding a horse, and my current job working at a restaurant where I take orders on a register and serve food, while also having the ability to make the food being served on occasion. All of these jobs have taught me an assortment of useful skills that I will not only use in my future career, but for everyday life as well. However, I would say I have learned the most skills by attending a summer long work program. This program taught us how everything we need to know about the professional world along with how to handle ourselves in our future careers. Adding on, I also working in elementary schools in my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college. Senior year, I worked with 3-5th graders who were in the disability room of their elementary school and freshman year, I worked with a 3rd grade class through a program through my university where I mentored a student for a semester. In the near future, I am hoping to be able to study abroad to experience the world, build my resume with international companies, and gain skills that might be taught differently in the U.S.. Although my GPA is not the best right now, this does not reflect my work ethic. I am a hard worker and dedicated to making the work I do the best it can be!
