Kayla was 31YO when she became the chairperson of a multimillion-dollar not-for-profit organization in Perth, Western Australia – the youngest in the organization's history (and possibly within Australia). Kayla is a multi-disciplinary governance practitioner with rich, cumulative portfolio experience across Australia, North America, Canada and the United Kingdom including government-trading enterprise, energy and renewables, international policy, technology, mental health and various other social causes. Kayla excels in facets of strategy, policy, procedure, and risk management spanning both sides of the boardroom door – both in Chairperson and Senior Vice President capacities from the non-executive director side, as well as the company secretariat, board relations and board operations side. Prior to this, she enjoyed a legal career spanning across insurance litigation, compensation claims and commercial disputes. As an aspiring polymath and governance academic, Kayla is a values-driven for-purpose leader who is attracted to disruptive organizations that possess an appetite for growth and transformation through focus on policy, procedure and optimization. She thrives on demystifying complex problems to provide innovative and practical solutions that contribute to an organization’s goals.
