As a part time dental administrator at Studio Dental, I grew tremendously in the quick paced environment. By overseeing and coordinating day to day operations, such as scheduling patients, preparing hygiene charts and organizing dental packages. In addition, I ensured consistent patient inflow by calling 50+ patients per shift for pre booking. Through noting predeterminations in advance, I was able to provide seamless service with less wait times.

Seed Club (renamed Refoundation) is a recognized non-for-profit organization organized by high school students in Vancouver, BC.I joined the SEED Club, a recognized teenagers-led non-profit, to advocate eco-consciousness to youths. I explored the logistics of planning competitions, podcasts, and webinars. The most memorable being our UN sustainable Development Goals business pitch competition. - Organized a 3-month marketing plan for our global business pitch competition, detailing goals, operation timeline- Recruited over 70 competitors worldwide and 26 groups of submission for our global pitch competition- Designed Instagram posts and stories through Canva, expanded our platform to TikTok, reaching over 1000 followers in 3 months- Developed an Instagram series on business pitch and guest speaker podcast on Spotify to provide a stable foundation for the competitors’ journey from developing ideas, branding and presentation- Collaborated with other non-for-profits, such as peer mentorships with elementary aged students, to raise awareness about maintaining sustainability in a city

Grade: Senior TheatreI am a part of the pre-professional senior theatre troupe at Arts Umbrella, a non-profit art organisation in Vancouver. To prepare for our winter and spring performances, I rehearse 6 to 9 hours a week with professionals in the field. Through this program, I learnt to quickly adapt to change. Change is often inevitable in live performances: actors may slip up and props may go missing; Therefore, improvisation is an essential skill. During each rehearsal, I challenged myself to create different versions of the same scene. I focused on different aspects of the scene, such as the relationship between the characters and their physicality. During my first performance, I kept the scene flowing despite some mishaps. With those focused rehearsals, improvisation became my second nature. As change is constant, theatre helped in adapting to my surroundings in my daily life.

I tutored children from kindergarten to grade 4. I tailored lesson plans according to requests, such as creating a writing-focused course. I consistently updated Tutees’ parents and adapted my plan. As each child was different, I developed analytical skills through surveying their work habits. When my course was unsuitable, I flexibly adjusted my method. For example, one of my students loves reading. Instead of using worksheets, I explained tenses through storylines. My approach increased engagement and her willingness to learn English. Through tutoring, I maintained open communication with different ages and maturity.
