About Kayla Sutton

As the Assistant Executive Director at the Independence Empowerment Center, I am dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities within our community. My role allows me to utilize my educational background, organizational skills and ability to thrive in stressful situations to make a positive impact every day. I am always eager to learn and grow, embracing new challenges and opportunities.I graduated from Old Dominion University in Spring 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and a minor in Business Management. During this time, I also obtained a Certification for Addiction Prevention and Treatment. This educational background has provided me with the skills and knowledge to effectively address the diverse needs of our community.I am passionate about connecting with like-minded professionals and exploring new opportunities to enhance community well-being.
