I am a Production Supervisor at American Laboratories, a leading provider that manufactures and markets ingredients used in human nutrition, pet nutrition and food processing products. In my role I am responsible for leading and overseeing American Laboratories’ (ALI) Wet Side Production team and tasks. I interact with different levels of management and personnel within each ALI department.My Duties and Responsibilities include the following but aren't limited to:-Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating them to employees-Organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules-Make sure that all the production-related tasks are done as per the company policies and procedures-Oversee and coach employees-SOP and MI implementation-Deviation and CAPA implementation-Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance-Check production output according to specifications-Submit reports on performance and progress-Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements-Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures-Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.-Oversee all manufacturing/production operations, including scheduling, training, hiring/disciplinary action, shipping/receiving, planning, equipment, inventory (raw materials and finished goods).-Implement and approve deviations and CAPAs (corrective action / preventative action).-Ensure continuous improvements, cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and Safety regulations are followed.-Collaborate with others to identify areas of improvements and facilitate the implementation, revision and approval of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), Manufacturing Instructions (MI) and other documents.

In this position I work in the manufacturing facility or production group assigned by supervision or management.My Duties and Responsibilities include the following but aren't limited to:-Shipping, receiving or transferring of products, materials or components to be used, stored or sold by American Laboratories Inc.-Assembly, operation and cleaning of process equipment which may include: granulators, plumper, Fitz mills, ball mills, sifters, blenders and any other equipment used in manufacturing processes.-Operation of test equipment such as pH meters.-Maintaining of work areas in neat and orderly fashion.-Maintaining equipment (minor repairs).-Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).-Assist Technical Services on process improvement and product development projects as assigned by supervisor.-Follow Safety SOPs and provide recommendations to the Safety Committee when appropriate.-Request repairs to equipment to supervisors and/or maintenance as needed.-Communicate effectively with others.-Perform work onsite.-Demonstrate independent judgment and make recommendations regarding business practices.-Ensure proper staffing and that staff receives appropriate training.-Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships.-Training all new production operators.-Assisting on-going training with established employees.-Filling in as needed as designated by the Director of Production.-Assisting the Production Supervisors, Production Managers, Production and Quality Assurance personnel in troubleshooting and determining root cause of process deviations.-You will be cross-trained and knowledgeable in all areas of Production.-Work with other departments to ensure filling department has everything necessary to meet objectives.

This position requires strong knowledge of hospitality and customer service, the ability to multitask and the ability to manage the performance of all employees. Occasionally act as manager-on-duty and supervise entertainers, skate monitors, cashiers, and maintenance staff as needed. Ability to work with various levels of management as well as working with other departments. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication.
