I am a sophomore majoring in Computer Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. In 2020, I transformed my passion for crafting into a business. At first, I was pushed to earn money for my first car, but my love for selling my crafts quickly grew. I continued my business by attending local craft fairs and selling online throughout high school and on the weekends my first year in college. Now, my 13 year old younger brother has taken it over and is working at saving up for his first car! Speaking of starting a business and passing it down, I was accepted into the Collinsville Triad Maryville CEO program my senior year of high school! This program allowed me to learn from local business professionals in order to not only grow my business management skills, but also my communication and networking skills. I am a proud alumni of the Collinsville Triad Maryville CEO program. Within the CEO program, I started a small business called Kaylee B. Consulting, where I used my knowledge from starting up Kaylee B. Creations and my experience and passion for technological problem solving to assist local small business owners with developing a strong online presence. From developing order forms and QR codes to managing social media pages, I was happy to be able to not only share my knowledge, but also to continue to learn from small business owners. My goal is to continue to grow and learn from my peers and to apply my skills in the most efficient way for future projects.Aside from continuing my business, I am also involved in the community and on campus. I was elected as the 2024-2025 Director of PR for the Missouri University of Science and Technology's Student Solar House Design Team, where I utilize my experience in project management and design to assist with getting our name out there and gaining exposure for our team. I also am a member of the Electrical Sub-Team where I hope to gain some experience with creating a smart home system to help reduce the amount of energy being used in our home. I am also a member of ACM AI (Association of Computing Machinery - Artificial Intelligence) where I use my knowledge and research on AI to work with my team to create an AI model that can be utilized efficiently on campus. I am also using what I have learned from this group to assist at my 2024-2025 Internship at GrassWorx, where I have been researching where different applications of AI would be best implemented within the company to reduce time consuming tasks.
