I check patients in to our system, take their payment, and check their insurance credibility. I also file claims, send statements, prepare medical records, send medical records, insurance aging, patient aging, and post payments. I have to batch out my money before I leave and make sure I balance. I am responsible for setting the alarm and locking all of the doors. I have to be prepared for emergency situations and follow certain regulations. I also call insurance companies and patients to get balances paid off. I greet clients and help make their visit nice so they will want to come back. I am friendly to the patients and get to know them very well over time. I remember names and I always make sure I do everything I can to help them.
