Hi, I'm Kaylee! I am a new graduate from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Environmental Economics, Management, and Policy. I am a dedicated student with a GPA of 3.55/4.00 in my department. I'm tech-savvy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva, and RStudio for data analysis. I’m known for my strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating effective communication and maintaining a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.My education has focused on climate risk management, environmental law, and regulatory frameworks including the Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act, including environmental impact statements and environmental assessments. I've also been one of the student leaders for Y-Toss at the YMCA Thrift Shop, a program that diverts student items from landfills for reuse and organized community clean-up programs at Virginia Tech.Workwise, I've been a Donations Attendant and Cashier at the YMCA Thrift Shop and earned employee of the month at West End Market. Beyond school and work, I enjoy working with hands-on personal projects like managing low-filtration planted fish tanks, growing various houseplants, and raising compost worms.I thrive on variety. Switching things up keeps me engaged, and I easily find my groove in any system. I’m looking for opportunities to apply my skills and passion for environmental economics, management, and policy, aiming for a career that allows me to make a meaningful impact regarding environmental management and/or sustainability. I look forward to absorbing new skills and knowledge throughout this journey. I am also looking forward to the adventure of relocating and exploring fresh professional challenges.
