My passion is working with children in an experiential learning setting. I worked for a year and a half as an instructor facilitating outdoor education, environmental science, and leadership classes at Pali Institute through project-based, student centered learning. I then moved into the role of Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator, head of the Education Department at Pali, where I managed the curriculum of the program. I then taught Gardening and Science in San Jose, helping students create a deep rooted connection to their local environment and food system. Currently, I use experiential and structured literacy methods to teach students with learning disabilities in the rural mountain town of Granby, Colorado.Specialties: Special EducationDyslexia InterventionsElementary and Secondary Education Curriculum Design, teaching, and assessment analysisSpanishHistoryEnvironmental ScienceOutdoor EducationLindmood-Bell & Orton GillinghamSpecial EducationGardeningChallenge CoursesTeambuildingProject Based LearningTeaching English as a Foreign LanguageData AnalysisStaff Teacher TrainingLeadershipWilderness First ResponderCoaching- Soccer, Cross Country, Track and FieldYoga
