During my time as a Payer Account Associate I discovered my passion for Project Management while working with our internal teams to carry out product implementations. Something unique about working at CoverMyMeds is that when you show interest in learning new skills and want to see what it is like to perform in that role, CMM offers that opportunity via "stretch projects".Stretch Projects are basically internal internships where you spend 30 hours working in your current role, and 10 hours a week in your desired role. I had for a long time shown interest in Project Management, and in February of 2021 I was able to begin my stretch project managing various projects for the Payer Implementations team. During this time I was able to take on and execute three projects. Once my last project was finalized in July, I was offered a full-time position as a Project Manager on the Implementations team. Since starting in August of 2021, I have been continuing to gain knowledge of Project Management framework and application of standard PM tools and templates in order to seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously. My stretch project allowed me to gain exposure to the best practices and processes of project management methodologies and lifecycles that I now utilize in my day to day workflow. I have been expanding upon my experience in working with a team to achieve project goals including managing scope, requirements, timelines and resources to carry out implementations. When I am not facilitating calls you can find me completing all documentation for projects including but not limited to meeting agendas, meeting notes, project timelines, launch materials and the risk register. Once completed I make sure all documents are placed in the proper channels for organizational visibility.I am so grateful to be on a team of so many project management professionals that I look up to and can learn from. I look forward to continuing to grow in this role.

During my time as an Associate Account Manager on the Payer Account Management team I gained exposure to and assisted on product implementations with various clients where I discovered my passion for Project Management. In this role, I gained invaluable experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and expand our product offerings that I have brought to my current role as a Project Manager. Other skills I developed that I still utilize daily would be learning what it means to be an internal advocate for our Payer partners and when to escalate issues to meet an agreed upon resolution. In this role I had my first experience with utilizing Salesforce to track opportunities, create client specific account plans, and for tracking client activity for organizational visibility. As an Account Associate I was able to expand upon my existing experience in monitoring, analyzing and presenting client data both internally and externally to accomplish utilization initiatives. I am so grateful for my time in this role and all of the valuable experience I gained with the Payer Account Management team.

ELITE Communication agency is a student-run firm as part of an extensive service learning project for the public relations campaigns capstone course I completed at Bowling Green State University. Our client was the National Alliance on Mental Illness or NAMI Wood County. NAMI is a non-profit organization that provides community support and aims to guide those affected by mental illness toward the correct resources that will provide treatment for them. During my time working as Assistant Account executive I was in charge of creating schedules and monitoring every team member's work, I conducted focus groups to supplement research data in order to meet the community's expectations of our client as well as conducting scholarly research to accomplish the same goal, I established partnerships with organizations to collaborate with NAMI Wood County and create events within the community to gain a larger audience for our client, and communicated transparently with my client. My biggest take away from this experience was time-management skills, effective team work strategies, practice in creating an extensive public relations campaign proposal and presenting it to the client, and learning the strongest ways to maintain and establish partnerships that bring value within the community to my client.
