I am a Psychology major with a minor in Social Welfare graduating soon from the University of North Florida. I am a Jacksonville, FL native. Once I complete my education I aspire to work in the mental health care field as a Therapist specializing in Adolescent Trauma. I have found my calling to be counseling/therapy because I want to give back to the community that helped me. I can relate with students impacted by anxiety, depression, and accessibility. I know that one day I will use my lived experience to help a young person in their journey to adulthood. For now, I wear many hats. I am a Resident Assistant for a first year community at UNF, an Academic and Wellness mentor at The Arc of Jacksonville, and a volunteer at heart. I enjoy serving people with disabilities, mental illnesses, and helping people become more independent, confident, and authentic. I am open to any opportunities that will aid in gaining experience in the mental healthcare field specifically: case management, counseling, and therapy.
