People Manager and Team Lead for an exciting new initiative at RGG. Search Tech operates in a hybrid model combining internal staff with an external consultancy to build scalable personalization foundations with experts in the field of open-source Search and AI technologies. My role is multifaceted - you could say I wear many hats. On the daily I dance between mentorship, planning current and future projects, architectural decision making, coordination between Leads and Teams, and working with the product team and stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize initiatives.

Team Lead for a cross-functional engineering team which included full-stack web developers, native iOS and Android developers, QA, Product Design and Product Management. Together we identified customer and developer pain points and worked to enhance and modernize some of our most important shopping pages for Rue La La and Gilt.

Took on additional responsibilities of people management while remaining an IC for a customer facing development team; helped grow the QA Team by 75%.

Supported building RGG's first productionalized React SPA which included playing nice with our Python based monolith.

Key player in planning for and delivering a smooth acquisition of Gilt.com, Rue La La’s largest competitor in the flash sale, e-commerce space within an incredibly aggressive acquisition timeline of only 8 weeks.

Dedicated QA Engineer involved with all parts of the SDLC. Deployed code to Production directly and autonomously for a $500M+ business with hundreds of thousands of daily active users. Worked closely with PM and Development to assess risk and maintain a high level of quality; oftentimes helping to define and influence what we built before we built it. Wore many hats and personas to make reasonable recommendations and judgment calls. Created strategies to roll forward or back when an occasion warranted it. Took on additional responsibilities of people management as Lead; helped grow the QA Team by 75%.Key Achievements:• Helped launch a major replatforming of the Storefront frontend and backend, as well as new internal applications• Added Search functionality to site; worked closely with Engineering Lead and Business Intelligence team to design, implement and maintain first party analytics whose customer insights continue to power the business today. • Advocated to launch a lightweight, data-science driven feature sooner to customers in the midst of a much larger project. This feature is still live on site today; the larger initiative never launched.• Smoothly transitioned the business from one payment processor (Cardinal) to another (Braintree)• Added data processing layers in an attempt to standardize our size and color data to National Retail Federation standards• Greenfield project to enable a new sales channel that matched our customers to products they would love through a personal stylist program.

Tasked with strategizing and implementing major marketing projects including print catalogs, e-mail campaigns, brochures and product branding for an $8 million sector.

Tasked with creating and overseeing lead funnels through web forms, CRM and ESP triggers to inform and improve Sales Team strategies, revenue and conversion rates.

Executed independent strategies of cold and warm outreach to new customers via e-mail marketing, national events and cold-calling to help grow national sales turf.
