About Kayleigh Hiscock

I am a MSc Medical Biology (cum laude) graduate, currently working as Bioinformatician for the analysis of NGS data. My in silico experience includes NGS sequencing data analysis, rare variant analysis (variant annotation and association analysis), programming (Python, R and Linux), and working knowledge of the Hail genome analysis toolkit. As a complement to my in silico experience, I have also worked in wet lab research groups in both South Africa and The Netherlands. Specifically, I worked with the following techniques: cell culture, RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, assays (LDH cytotoxicity and ELISA), Western blot, CUT&RUN and smFISH.
