While working as a full time freelancer, I networked to build a client list, and primarily worked with a handful of regular clients. Most of my work involved blogging and articles, primarily focused in the business, marketing, and SEO industry. Many of the articles I wrote revolved around time poor SMEs and how they could get the most out of their very limited marketing dollars. I have also written about the healthcare industry, insurance industry, and focused on topics around feminism and discrimination in the workplace. I rewrote websites in the medical field, taking client information and crafting content that was better optimized for SEO while also being more accessible and patient friendly. I also did some editing for clients in the medical field, rewriting and editing for clarity while also maintaining voice and technical detail. This was one of my favorite tasks; taking highly technical medical information and making it accessible for the more casual reader is exciting, fun, and better for patients than using WebMD.

Working with CET to edit and update materials for the 2020 school year. This includes brochures, web content, and more.

Through this agency, I work on a wide variety of professional level copy, from articles that are posted on company blogs to press releases and social media updates. I've worked with clients across a wide variety of fields: health and wellness, healthcare, technology, business, marketing, and parenting, to name a handful. My favorite piece about this position? I'm never doing the same thing twice in a row. I'm always looking for the best way to match tone and voice for the client, often going through several revisions, and ensuring that the client gets just the right content for their needs. I am consistently a top ranked writer on the platform, getting 9 and 10 scores on my content (out of 10) with comments like "Kay understood exactly what we needed," "Excellent writing," and "Hope to work with this writer again."

Pitched and created articles relating to health, health insurance, and news relating to these topics. Also took briefs and assignments from the editorial team. Responded to editorial feedback to further refine voice and content.

Burlington, Vermont Area

Managed a team of up to 10 customer service reps. Managed workload of special projects, created knowledge base materials, provided edits on customer-facing state-level documents. Completed monthly quality control reviews on customer service reps. Handled escalated customers on a range of issues. Corresponded with state level agencies to resolve customer case discrepancies and ensure benefits were available as described in policies.

Consistently maintained highest level of calls taken at each level of program service. Regularly received perfect results on quality control reports. Handled special projects in a timely manner above expectations.
