I am passionate about advancing social and economic justice in my community. I serve as the Chair of the Economic Development Commission at the City of Burnsville, where I collaborate with local businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to promote and implement policies and initiatives that foster inclusive and sustainable growth. Additionally, I am a Director At Large at ResourceWest, a nonprofit that provides essential services and resources to low-income families and individuals in the west metro area, as well as Caring for Cats. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Human Services at Capella University, where I am a Capella Fellow. My degree program focuses on developing the knowledge and skills to address the complex challenges and opportunities facing human service organizations and professionals. Some of the topics I am studying include leadership, ethics, diversity, advocacy, evaluation, and grant writing.I have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as multiple certifications in financial management and grant seeking essentials from NonprofitReady. I am motivated by the values of equity, compassion, and collaboration, and I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the people and communities I serve.
