I am a senior at Husson University, with a passion for Family Law and Mediation. As a Legal Studies major, I have taken many courses that will make me a highly motivated intern. I have excellent time management skills maintaining a 3.97 GPA and earning Presidents List every semester while working thirty hours a week.I have taken all the necessary classes to receive a Paralegal Certificate but will receive my certification upon graduation (May 2025). I received the “Excellence in Legal Studies - 1st Year” Award.In my legal research and writing classes at Husson University, I have gained experience writing professional documents, staying organized, and meeting deadlines. My writing projects include: (1) a Motion to Suppress Evidence; (2) a Memorandum; (3) an Appellate/Appellee Brief; and (4) a Law Review Article.After taking an Alternative Dispute Resolution course, I gained proficient communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a clear understanding of the mediation process. Throughout the course, I participated in many role-plays as a mediator. I have taken a Family Law course where I gained extensive knowledge of the processes and legal information when working with families.The courses I have taken at Husson University thus far have been a stepping stone for being confident about diving into an internship as the next step in my career.To maintain life balance, outside of academics and work, I like to go fishing and ride ATVs
