I graduated with a diploma in Sporting Goods Business from Fleming College with aspirations of working within the professional basketball industry (who would have guessed, since I love basketball), but little did I know hospitality was my career calling. Following college, I began my career at Soccerworld Hamilton where I managed sports leagues with more than 5,000 athletes weekly. I began my career in hospitality by organizing and developing events and marketing programs. I began developing my sales and marketing skills through this organization which ultimately did lead me to hospitality after just over two years with Soccerworld.Since then, I have further honed and developed my skills by working within the hotel industry for over 5 years, and now, at one of the newest Convention Centres in Canada. I now work with organizations and groups up to 2,000 attendees as a Sales Manager for Provincial Associations.I am very active within our community including volunteering my time outside of work to: CSAE Trillium Chapter, the host planning committee for the 2011 Canadian Country Music Awards, and am an active member of the Chamber of Commerce to name a few.Specialties: Project management, sales & marketing, computer literate (including EBMS database system), contract negotiation, event coordination, attention to detail.
