Created a new role of outreach to the public regarding the plight of Neotropical migratory songbirds. Wrote and secured funding for a grant thru the EPA with matching state funds to develop a curriculum for Tennessee teachers for grades 6-8 to use in their science classrooms. The curriculum focused on the importance of conserving contiguous forests and prairies and developing an awareness of human impacts on these and many other animal species.
