Department Of Neighborhood And Business Development

-Clean, analyze, and interpret data from disparate data sets. Collect and analyze site-specific information for potential development projects to inform funding decisions.-Use effective data visualization strategies to communicate the findings of the analysis.-Collaborate with Department staff and partners in producing interpretive maps and tables relating to community development challenges and opportunities.-Prepare property development recommendations with acute attention to detail and development potential.-Use a variety of data sources to develop block-level data analysis based on specific property conditions, social and economic challenges, and desired outcomes.-Maintain database information and provide reports on the parcel- and block-level data relating to vacant abandoned and suspected zombie properties.-Provide analytical and technical support to interdepartmental and interagency initiatives relating to the Department’s mission.-Manage projects that involve multiple stakeholders, constituencies, and/or agencies.-Support the implementation of the City’s Resurgent Neighborhood Initiative by acting as a liaison between City staff and residents, stakeholders, and other constituent groups. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that long-term planning priorities of the department align with the interests and priorities of constituents in those areas.-Collaborates with assigned community ambassadors to advance ongoing grants and objectives.-Attend neighborhood meetings and events as needed for the assigned planning area.

Office Of Residence Life

I am a Community Advisor at Niagara University, meaning I've connected and built relationships with my floor residents, my staff, and other building residents. I have also developed my organization, time management, and communication skills.

Admissions Office

I work weekly tours, as well as open houses, held by our admissions office. In this role, I develop relationships with prospective students and families, and have become a contact point and reference for many people at Niagara University because of this. This position also requires me to be constantly learning more about my surroundings, as well as be able to create and hold dialogue throughout the entirety of the hour and a half long tour.

I worked answering constituent phone calls and assisting the Western New York regional office with day to day tasks.

Assist with the City's 2020 Census activities. Responsible for drafting informational and promotional content for internal an external audiences and supporting the needs for the Syracuse-Onondaga County Complete Count Committee (SOC-CCC) and it's subcommittees.

I held an internship with the City of Syracuse Office of the Mayor's Marketing and Communications team. While in this role, I worked with different media outlets, as well as developed skills in advertising and other marketing material production. I also worked closely with a mayoral initiative, "Adopt-A-Block", and entered the City of Syracuse's "Civic Innovation Challenge" with an idea I developed to help battle neighborhood blight and city revitalization.

I worked as an intern with the parole reentry program at Community Missions. While working in this position, I observed and learned about the processes people go through to get into the program, as well as the processes to stay in the program. I also attended and sat through multiple sessions of mental health court in the City of Niagara Falls. Through my time as an intern, I took on the project of updating all of the records Community Missions currently held for sexual offenders in the surrounding county. I added the names of any offenders they didn't have on file, and marked the offenders they had on file who no longer lived in the county.
