Hi. I’m Kaylyn! Here’s a bit about me! Born and raised in the South, so racial issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, financial literacy, overcoming various traumas, and anxiety/depression are my bread and butter. I’m most passionate as an editor in these topics. My second passion has always been romance, reading romance novels was always my “escape” when life was too hard, too rough, or too heavy. I also am obsessed with anything supernatural or gory!Being an avid reader saved my life – literally. When I wasn’t reading it, I was writing it. I say that to say, as an upcoming writer, I understand not wanting your voice to be changed or altered by an editor. My goal as your editor will always be to improve, not to change. I only want to help you provide your BEST content!!I began editing in college in 2010, I started proofreading papers for my friends, which then led to me tutoring and editing for pay. Doing so supplied me MANY meals! Haha. I have LOVED it every since, and even when I try to leave it for a bit, I ALWAYS come back. 😊I like to consider myself a well-rounded individual, a jack-of-all-trades. I have an extensive background in the healthcare/medical field (I’m a certified, not licensed, EMT, among several other certifications), I worked over 10 years with a program for IDD, I have even been a swim instructor for children, my adulthood consists of working in “Corporate America”, and now, I’m studying to become an herbalist. I’m constantly growing, molding, and changing for the better—much like our literary world!I’m a bit of a hippie, a doggy and plant mom, and a soulmate. I try to live the most natural, happy life I can. I would love the opportunity to assist in making your manuscript a reality by presenting your genius professionally edited!
